Gurugram, February 11th | VVDN Technologies has announced its unfortunate withdrawal from the upcoming MWC 2020 event, that was scheduled in between February 24-27th, 2020 at Barcelona, Spain due to the extensive outbreak of Novel Coronavirus across the globe; and, concerns for health issues of its customers, staff, and stakeholders. 

The virus, which has already spread across 25 countries and has engulfed thousands of people putting lives at great threat; is also highly communicable (even before the infected person starts developing symptoms) and can communicate to at least 10-14 people at once. Assessing the threats, VVDN has decided to pull back from the annual Mobile World Congress gathering - which in itself is also the world’s largest get-together for mobile events and sees visitors from all across the world.

Bhupender Saharan, CEO, VVDN, says: “The health and safety of VVDN associates is our topmost priority. At a time when the World Health Organization has declared Novel Coronavirus as a public health emergency, we believe taking people to MWC and inviting delegates would only expose our best people to a widespread health hazard. The company will have many chances to exhibit its capabilities, but putting people’s lives at risk is something against our corporate ethics.” He further added, “Even though GSMA has undertaken every precautionary measure to tackle the emergency, the event will still witness hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the world - that does not allow us to guarantee the safety of our employees and visitors.”

After an extensive internal risk assessment, VVDN has decided to take further precautionary measures by withdrawing from MWC Barcelona 2020. The company plans to showcase its range of 5G infrastructure solutions, demos, and contents created for MWC Barcelona in its upcoming events in a grand way.
